We’re thrilled to announce that the French and Spanish versions of the SEADS Handbook are now online!
“The new language versions of the SEADS Handbook enable the principles and standards to be extended to new geographical regions of the world that are vulnerable to crises where crop-related responses are required: Central and South America, and Francophone West Africa,” reveals SEADS Coordinator, Alistair Short.
Over the next two years, priority countries targeted for the rollout of the SEADS Global Training Program include Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Colombia, Haiti, Honduras, Guatemala, Niger and Venezuela. These nations are facing extreme man-made challenges (such as violence, conflict and economic instability) and natural shocks (including hurricanes, cyclones, crop and livestock pests, and drought).
To mark the release of the French SEADS handbook, join us for an online launch event at 2pm (UTC) on 24th October. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with others and learn more about the new version. Sign up here.
