iDE Nepal takes market-based approaches to resolving intractable problems facing Nepal’s rural poor. iDE Nepal works with smallholder farmers to build their income, food security, and resilience to shocks and stresses, including invasive pests and the effects of climate change. Too often, small agricultural producers are left out of conversations around emergency response, recovery, and reconstruction; iDE Nepal sees SEADS as an important opportunity to develop global standards for emergency response that integrate with and support smallholder-friendly adaptation and DRR planning processes, to support preparedness and post-emergency recovery.
